Today marks the six year anniversary of Liverpool’s 2005 Champions League Final victory - one of the greatest comebacks in sports. They can never take this away from us. YNWA.

In light of my cousin’s wedding tomorrow, I got to some thinking about the prospect of me getting married one day. There was a bit in the movie “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” that resonated with me when Peter is video chatting with his stepbrother, Brian. Brian briefly bickers with his wife Liz and she asks him “Can we be on the same team?”.
Yes I know it’s a movie and it’s not entirely realistic but should I have the chance to commit myself to that someone special I want that to be one of my goals in my marriage. I want to be able to have to look at my wife as someone I have to constantly compete against or oppose. I want to know for sure she’s got my back because I’ll have hers (in theory). That line just summates it succinctly for me.
“But Eddie, don’t you know most married people fight a lot anyway?” Yes I know that asshole but that’s why when I like it, I’m gonna do my best to get that shit checked out before I put a ring on it. My wife and I will be on the same team.

I wish I had the savvy to summate my Hofstra experience so poignantly as Ryan Broderick when I graduated from the university two years ago. While I look back on my four years there with MUCH more fondness than contempt, this young lad captures an essence of the school all too well without overdramatizing it. I hope this doesn’t jade too many minds. It might just serve better as a post-mortem read upon departing Hofstra.
Nevertheless, congratulations to the graduating class of 2011. If you’re feeling a sense of sorrow and in-limbo-ness, fear not. It gets better and soon enough you’ll realize that you’ve moved on. Just like your time at Hofstra, life is what you make of it.

We can pause to celebrate public enemy #1’s death but get ready for the backlash. His end is a new beginning for terrorism. Terrorists and America-haters will get a second wind over this. Bin Laden being killed by his enemies’ weapons is the best way for him to have gone out. After they martyr him, there will be movement. For now though, AMERICA!! FUCK YEAAHHHH!!!
I am especially happy for all of our armed forces. This is a pure moment of victory for them and our government and our people. This has been such a long time coming after so much bloodshed.
